Aftercare
The key to long lasting and vibrant permanent makeup is proper care and maintenance. Please adhere to the instructions for your services as to the best of your ability to ensure lasting results. Please contact us to speak with your permanent cosmetics artist or a qualified health care professional at the first sign of abnormal swelling, inflammation, or signs of possible infection or allergic reaction.
- For the first night following your service, you may gently rinse the serviced area with water only. No cleansers, moisturizers, etc.
- For the first 7 days, you may wash your face but be careful to avoid the treated area, keeping it as dry as possible.
- No rubbing or picking! The treated area(s) might feel a little ticklish/itchy during the first phase of the recovery process. Rubbing or picking can lead to infection and loss of pigment.
- Avoid peeling any dry skin as you might peel out the treated area and create bald or lighter spots in the pigment applied.
- Apply ointment on treated area for 1-2 days after your procedure, usually best to apply in the evening before bed. It will help keep the treated area moisturized and soft for the remainder of the recovery process.
- No tanning, excessive sun exposure, excessive sweating, makeup or anti-aging creams on the treated area(s) for at least 10 days. It is best to allow the area to heal first before applying any product that may be am irritant.
- It is important to remember that every person's skin is different and heals in different ways/speeds. Permanent makeup application is often a 2-3 step procedure to achieve any desired look. This is why it is vital that you attend your 6 week touch up appointment to ensure the lasting results of your procedure.
